Babu Antony, who has many Malayalam and Tamil hits to his credit, is excited about working on a Tamil film and that too, with Gautham Menon. Talking about his role in VTV, noted martial arts exponent Babu Antony said: “For some reason, Gautham was looking for a tall guy to play Trisha’s dad. The minute he saw me, he was convinced that I would be apt for the role.”
Produced by RS Infotainment and distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies, VTV, including its Telugu version, is all set for release on February 26. Its musical score is by Academy Award winner A.R. Rahman. The film revolves around the love between an aspiring film maker Karthik, who wants to make it big in his profession, and a Christian girl Jessie.

Balu Mahendra who gave Priyamani one of her life time roles in ‘Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam, has again picked the dusky beauty for his next film.
In ‘Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam’ Priyamani did an excellent job opposite Dhanush. The film was considered off-beat and hence did not do well at the box office.
This new film by Balu Mahendra will be her first serious film after going for an image make over as a glamorous heroine. The film is being produced by Srilankan Tamils living abroad.
The yet to be titled film will introduce a new hero and Priyamani has agreed for that. Balu Mahendra will train all the other new actors in the film with an expert trainer before they face the camera.
Cinematography will be handled by Anwar, who is a gold medalist from Poona Film Institute. Music is by Balu Mahendra’s favourite Illayaraja. Assistant Directors who will be working in this film are the students of Balu Mahendra Film Institute.
The new film is expected to start rolling in November.

The heart-throb of Bollywood Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been offered a whopping 10 crores by Bobby Pushkarna of Page 3 fame. Sources reveal that producer Bobby Pushkarna is planning to make a movie in the lines of Jag Mundhra’s Provoked, and the producer is very keen to cast Aishwarya in the film.
Bobby Pushkarna is the son of producer Baldev Pushkarna, who made films like Chacha Bhatija. Ash is currently busy with Guzaarish, Action Replay and Endhiran. Earlier there were reports that actress Kareena Kapoor has been paid seven crore for her upcoming film Golmaal 3 which raised many eyebrows.
